Acts 18:1 ~ 4 after that, Paul left Athens, and went to Corinth. 2 There he found a Jew named Aquila, a native of the bridge, who had recently arrived from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claude had ordered all Jews to leave Rome. He befriended them; 3 and, as he had the same trade, he remained at home and worked there: they were makers of tents. 4 Paul was disrunning in the synagogue every Sabbath, and he persuaded Jews and Greeks.
In every nation there are many brilliant businessmen. God allowed their businesses to maintain society. However, God’s perspective was placed elsewhere. These were businessmen who can do evangelism and missions. Who are the business people who receive God’s blessing?
1. Business people who rejoice in the Gospel
There are many Christians who believe in God but do not rejoice in the gospel. Luc was a businessman who rejoiced in the Covenant of Christ, the Kingdom of God, and the fullness of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 1:1 ~ 8) And these people who seized the Covenant gathered and dedicated themselves to prayer. (1:14) on the day of Pentecost, the visitors of Rome to the upper house of Marc were the businessmen who rejoiced in the gospel. (2:10) God blesses businessmen who rejoice in the gospel.
2. Business men prepared for the evangelical movement
God has prepared three thousand unexpected disciples. (Acts 2:41) Paul who heard this reply spoke in the synagogue with the couple Priscilla and Aquilas, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks. (18:4) Also, not only the movement of the synagogue, but they were also used in the movement that establishes the Remnants. (18:24 ~ 28) Even if there is no visible fruit, despite the fact that we have right now shared the gospel for a long time, we must protect this place. Even if no one hears what we say, we must speak of only Christ. Without Christ, we would not be able to save the dying world, the background of disasters, Satan, and hell.
3. Business men prepared for the Mission movement
The couple Priscilla and Aquila have even wagered their lives for Paul. God called these businessmen to be used in the movement of missions. (Romans 16:3 ~ 4) We just have to know this fact and be in this call. Even though the primitive church experienced many difficulties, the disciples were never troubled, and Satan knelt. (16:20) in the same way, businessmen may seem small, but their blessings are prepared for long centuries past, and continue forever. (16:25 ~ 27)
Lord! That I am the businessman used in the evangelical movement and missions.
