Chant for daily Worship: Hymn # 162 risen Lord
The resurrection of Christ is an evidence that he has defeated Satan who acts through sin and the authority of death. Christ clothed the flesh and came to perform this work. (Heb. 2:14-15) The resurrection is not just an incident that ended like that. Christ became the first fruit of all who believe so that the works of the resurrection continue. Precisely, faith in the resurrection is not simply believing that Jesus rose from the dead. It is the belief that this risen Christ, even now is with me. If this is the case, what is the word of the risen Christ to his disciples?
1. The commandment to the true Church and the Ministry of Disciples (Matthew 28:16-20)
He commanded to establish the true Church and to make all nations disciples. Risen Christ has all power in heaven and on earth. God gave Christ the name that is above of all the names. The true church is the church where the works of God continue until now. It is the church where our life is contained in the word, prayer, and evangelism. The real ministry is to establish disciples. This is the goal of God which is also our goal.
2. The recommandment for the movement of the Remnants (Jn. 21:15-18)
Jesus, before recommending to make the movement of the Remnants, went to find the disciple Peter to confirm his love towards him. God requires us to have absolute love. Nothing else must intrude between us and Jesus so that we are pure, complete, and holy. God has entrusted us with the Remnants. Thus, we must bet our lives, and with the Remnants meet God, and experience Christ who has solved all the problems.
3. The promise of global evangelization (Acts 1:1-8)
He promised us evangelization and that we will be his witnesses to the ends of the earth. Christ who has fulfilled all the word accomplishes absolutely and is at the very center now of World Evangelization. This is not done by our own method but is only possible thanks to the method of God. (The Kingdom of God) Then he promised us his power. To do this work, it is not by our own strength, but by the source of all power, Christ who is with us. We will go on all fields and around the world as witnesses of Christ.
Lord, thank you for the risen Jesus has all power in heaven and on earth and is now with me. Allow me to make all the nations, all the Remnants disciples, and relay the risen Christ.
